Worn out seat cushions


Hubby and I have traveled on the Auto Train to Florida and back for our annual 2 week vacation for a few years now. We understand and except the pros and cons of the trek. However, this year's trek was much more uncomfortable. The seat cushions in coach have become hard and worn out. I called Customer Relations at Amtrak to ask when the seats were scheduled for refurbishment. The very nice woman I spoke with said she had no idea and would pass along my complaint to management. She assigned a case number but never gave the number to me. I am one person and really don't think one complaint is going to make a difference.

We already have our reservation made for next year's trek and hope the seat cushions will have been replaced by then. Don't suggest we get a roomette. Hubby is a big guy and would not be comfortable. To suggest bigger sleeping quarters is out of the question due to the price.
