Egregious refund policy


Upon arriving at Lorton in late March I was told a physical ticket for travel had been sent to me. Having ridden the Auto train many times and never had a physical ticket, I questioned it but paid the full fair a second time (they had the record showing I had paid originally.) upon arriving home, I searched for a ticket- no luck- Amtrak provided a signature from Fedex so I accepted it and filed for a refund. My refund will incur a $75 lost ticket charge plus 10% of the fare. I hear today that they will cut me a check in 5 months. That's $150 in penalties and a 5 month wait for a refund and I paid in full for my trip. Seems way over the top. Customer satisfaction and retention can't appear on anyone's objectives. I' money!
